BFRS Career Event - Aldershot

This event has been structured to suit the Armed Forces community and their families. You might have left the forces years ago, or just be thinking about it now, or maybe you are already in the resettlement process. Colonel Richard Westley OBE MC will be a guest speaker at the event, on the topic of resettlement and the private security sector.


H retired from the British Army in 2010 after 27 years' service, having commanded on operations up to and including Battle Group level in Afghanistan. Additional posts included command tours in Northern Ireland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, West Africa and as head of a HUMINT Team in Kosovo and Albania. His final tour was as Commander Operational Training and Advisory Group (OPTAG) preparing all UK personnel and units for operations in Iraq, the Balkans and Afghanistan.[1] He is now a Programme Manager and business development lead for New Century, a leading provider of bespoke and cost-effective specialist police and military skills training worldwide.[2]
