    Are you not now creating a problem for FS that existed for Chf Tech? By retaining FS in non-TG1 trades you’ll have a position where ex-TG1 FS outrank non-TG1 FS? Rebadge Chiefs to FS by all means, but keep current FS as FS.

    Agreed. Doing the exact same job as a Flt Lt on my team, yet those up on high always look at my rank before deciding whether to listen. Lack of barcode rank = not taken seriously (despite being a SME). Two years to push… Pay rise is better than nothing but the job satisfaction was greater as a Sgt.

    FS and CT paid the same other than supp levels (OR7). Am I missing something here? I would agree that DERR/trade pay no longer bridges the gap. Apparently it’s in review at the moment.

    If true, that’s staggering. Suspect things will get worse more broadly in just over two years, when the first lot of the AFPS05/15 joiners start to reach their 20/40 EDP point. Many will leave immediately with probably 3-4 years of those who are ‘pension trapped’ at most.
