    Turkey Teeth

A lad a work has a magnificent set of gnashers. I would imagine Shergar would have been envious. I believe these veneers were done in Turkey. Apparently over the last few years, getting your teeth done on the cheap in Turkey has become really popular. That is, until it goes wrong. This lad...

    Civil service bloodbath.

About once a week we are getting emails from people high up in the Civil Service about future staffing levels. I see this a paving the way to an announcement in a few months time of job cuts. It will be dressed up as a new vision, giving the tax payer value for money etc. I have mentioned...

Red Arrows to use GREEN smoke...

Maybe they should concentrate on keeping those poor old jets serviceable. "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls. The Royal Air Force aerobatic team, The Red Arrows! Well four of them."

    So called 'Freedom Day'

Self isolating. About 30% of staff are off and a couple have tested positive. I'm putting it down to an individual who attended a super spreader event at Wembley. Enjoy your freedom Day Everyone. Sweet Caroline, da da da

RAF Branches and Trades; to be reduced from 68 to 11

They have been recruiting DE SNCO's into Air Traffic for a number of years using the SNCO Aircrew training as a model. I believe the thinking behind it was to get people of the right age group through training. I know more mature people have easily passed through the training system but there...

The first time you fired a weapon.

At Swinderby SLR .22 conversion no recoil, wasn't really aware that I was firing it. The lad next to me had a blank target, the target of the lad next to him was peppered. Proper SLR was a very different matter. After 22 years I still couldn't hit a cows ar$e with a banjo.
