    ORMA RAF monthly A

Hi. Did anyone get to the bottom of these payments. I’ve just seen my bank account and have a larger payment going in tomorrow. New tax year?

    Best RAF photo!

I took this one in 2004, it ended up in the 'Labradorian'. No prizes for guessing location then!!

I've just got interested in politits

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/main.jhtml;jsessionid=DIDTWCIGSZTPNQFIQMFSFF4AVCBQ0IV0?xml=/opinion/2007/07/07/do0708.xml A bit suprising for the Daily Telegraph, but somehow politics (couldn't resist the pun in the title) has just got interesting.

Child Care Vouchers - Will they ever arrive?

You may wish to investigate how "successful" the Army was at paying troops before JPA. I am now knocking by any means the Army's hard working support troops, but their computer system(s), I believe, was not as good as the other 2 Services.

Clearance from units - Post JPA

Spot them! I can tell you a funny story about that. The CMC of a Sgts Mess was sat in the Mess Office one day when a Sgt walked in. After a discussion with the civilian Mess Manager as to why the MM would not sign the card because he owed a significant mess bill, he stormed out of the office...

Child Care Vouchers - Will they ever arrive?

If you can find your way to the SVPA (used to be AFPAA) website, I think that you will find that Child Care Vouchers are going to be included in R5. R1 was RAF, R2 was RN, R3 was Army/RAF Reserves, R4 is, amongst others a lot to do with NIRE and R5 includes CCV. R5 is still scheduled for the...

Clearance from units - Post JPA

But that used to happen anyway. You would be suprised at how many people used to forge signatures on the old clearance card. If the Chf Clk is worth his salt, it will not be the PD Clk who gets it in the neck - I remember someone issuing a sqn ldr with a bill for £480 for some APs (not that...

Clearance from units - Post JPA

You still have to clear, or visit, the appropriate areas of the station before you depart. It is just that PSF, or most PSFs these days, are not going to check up that you did; it is now your responsibility. For example, if you don't sort out your inventory before you go, a bill will follow...

    BT home hub

Just a quick thought, have you got your DSL filter connected to the LJU where the phone line comes directly in to the house, not on an extension. I had a similar problem and had to get a BT engineer in to resolve the problem. Apparently, in the rented house I am in, we did not realise that an...

    JPA Early Termination option

DS. Your Adjt has got it right, although it is not "don't trust JPA yet" it is how we (the RAF) are exploiting it. JPA Terminations is working well in the RN, but as I said before within the RAF it cannot be decided to whom the workflow should go to when it leaves the unit.

    JPA Early Termination option

If you have a look at the Desk Manual (or Business Process Guide) I think that you will find that your Trade Sponsor FS (I presume you mean the one at High Wycombe) is not part of the workflow. I strongly recommend you go and see your PSF.

    JPA Early Termination option

    It would be wise.

    JPA Early Termination option

It will not work until it is activated fully for the RAF and that will not occur until the problem of who the workflow should go to an Innsworth has been resolved by the parties involved. Suggest that that will occur when PMA moves to High Wycombe.

Never in the field of smart casual; RAF plans a raid on the world of fashion

I have got my MS home page set to look for anything with RAF in it and, not being a Guardian reader, I thought that the following was a wind up: The military have certainly had to overcome some hurdles in recent times. Lack of public support for their work in the Middle East, accusations of...
