    Kerrang, that reminds me. When it first kicked off, the 4 jets were operating away from the normal flight line over on the far side - about 10 drive away. When the aircrew returned from the first sortie, they climbed out and got handed a beer and then asked if they can go home, now !!

    I was on the line at Dhahran. I must have been on the other shift to Major Geek (#23) It was certainly impressive as they taxied and took off. Cheeryness turned to something else when the first SCUDs came in a few hours later!!
