Got to be Bon Jovi late 80's and the american band Skid Row. Got to see both at Milton Keynes Bowl in August 89, one of the finest gigs ever.

No-one has mentioned the best of the best of the 80s - Soft Cell. Saw me through many a teenage moody moment. I know they wore make up and were as camp as camp things, but that was the 80s wasn't it? I used to wish I was a boy so the fact that I wore make-up was trendy and not just something I had to do, being a girl an all.
Also The Jam, Madness, Bad Manners, Adam and the Ants, Haircut 100, Joy Division, .....

On the pi55 in the Grapes in Stafford when Babooooooooshka was out. We discovered the Video Jukebox did 50p for two tracks, so we stuck a tenner in and put Kate on 20 times! Funnily enough the landlord reset it after the 11th or 12th time

Just tuned into 80's at 8 on VH1 (as is my wont of a morning when I am Goating). One of the smoothest bands with a smooth track was on, "When Smokey Sings" by ABC, anyone who hasn't seen it, check it on 'tinterweb and I challenge you not to want to get up and dance to it!
