Right for all the older Goaters out there, who was the smoothest band of the 80s, for me it had to be a tie, ABC & Heaven 17!

Aztec Camera. They may have been one hit wonders, but they kicked butt.

Oh The 80's

Oh The 80's

Adam & The Ants were No.1 - 'Stand And Deliver' when I went through Swinderby. How about a bit of Blondie or Kwim Wilde... in the best possible taste of course.
Or how about any music being danced to by Hot Gossip... how impressionable can a young boy be?!?!?!:pDT_Xtremez_15:

My top 80's band would have been Guns'n'Roses but i am huge RUSH fan and they cross 4 decades worth.

I though most 80's stuff was total shi&e at the time but hearing now some stuff was great.

I loved Deacon Blue, Hue & Cry and oddly Talking Heads featured on a disc or 2.

Saw Guns n' Roses last weekend at Download festival in Donington park, totally different lineup apart from Axl Rose and a guest appearance by Izzy Stradlin, but they were excelent once they got over Axl's storming off the stage in a temper because of a slippery stage. Also Metallica were there too, another great 80's metal band who probably played the best live set I have ever had the fortune to witness (and I have seen a lot!)

But my all time best 80's band and probably favourite band of all time I have gotta agree with Iron Maiden. First time I saw them was Monsters of Rock at Donington in '88 and I was amazed from start to end, seen them about half a dozen times now and they are always fantastic.
