More PC rubbish, why do the staff have to come from any background?

If they are pink with blue spots and from the planet zarg or white from middle England the best candidate should be appointed.

'There are no Black or Asians in senior management positions' - perhaps it's because they are not fcuking good enough!
Like anywhere else, promote the best irrespective of race, colour, creed etc.
It's not mandated that a certain percentage should be selected by race.

May have something to do with the security clearances required to fulfill many of the posts in there...Knowing the level they search to for your family background on a DV goodness knows what lengths to go to for some of the GCHQ clearances...Depending on how many generations the ethnic candidate's family has lived in the UK may jeapordise his chances if he is easily traced back to areas of dodgyness.

Any one who has been through a DV will know just how in depth and personal they get. Racisism? no............ Intrusive? yes.

You just need to look at who made the report, to see the outcome. Looking for problems where they don't really exist and making the results fit the intent.

a lot of ethnic minorities see working for the civil service as below them,and that the pay is pants,which for the jobs involved it is.

If there was more of them they wouldn't be minority's. Where would they be then with their claims of unfair treatment?

maybe the don't apply for the jobs as they know the security clearance will require a lot of digging into their backgrounds.
I am sure some will not take kindly to anything dogdgy being found out about them, and anyway who gives a f*ck as long as they can do the job !
