Wow, 90, really. Just had a look on the wedsite and found nothing. I am sure it was 92 last year, then cut to 52 then down to 30. Hmmm, be interesting.

Good luck as the Cpl-Sgt board is this month and the quota is 11 yes 11 so don't get your hopes up too much. They may slash the numbers.

I am 100% positive that if BJW has posted the quota is 90 that that is what he means and NOT that there are to be 90 A grades.

I sat in a influencing your SJAR brief the other day and were told that they work how many they want to promote and then roughly times it by three and that will be the amount of A canidates they will have.

for example last year they promoted 30ish the amount of A canidates was 90ish

so that 90-92 someone mentioned is probably the A's and they'll promote 30.
That info came from the FS taking the brief.

I am sorry I would have to question that FS statement. If fact it is absolute bollocks. RAF Bird has it right if they want 10 then they will have approx 30 to 40 A grades plus of course the 10% of B grades they are mean't to look at.DT_Xtremez_19:

Which is, of course, just over 3 times the quota.

There is a matrix published in the Promotions area of the manning website which details how many A grades are needed for different quotas.

Well, the pre-boarding est numbers are up and they are......................................90!!!

Whilst I'd imagine they will be toyed with over the coming months it's still a very large figure to start.

It's interesting how it goes. I spoke with a collegue who was at Halton not so long ago. The trade sponsor advised him that it is a quota of 92, however our WO has mentioned 80. Still looks high, and those quotes seem to be gen.

Don't know wether this is going to help but here goes:

Cpl-Sgt original quota 11 next 15 Months 63 A Grades. They are currently at number 10. So if more 2 Bananna's get promoted then there should be more spaces available for SAC's, in theory!!!

But as always be wary, very wary. especially with SDR looming. But good luck to you all.

Heard a reliable rumour a few days ago that this has already been dropped to 35. Looks like the 90 could of been the A graders!

Looking on Manning Web page quota for promotion still at 90. Board sitting 27 Sep - 12 Oct. Remember this is a PMA prediction so, could be more, could be less.

Im sat on nights in purple gate 2. Just looked at manning and they still want 90. I asked my Wobbly on Thurs and he seems to think only 35 now but i think he is reading 18b (sorry for mentioning them). Don't want to get peoples hopes up (remember SDR is due just after board has sat) but ALOT of 2 and 3 bananas have been given the golden clock as they stoped continuence. so a couple of gaps there. I am a bit of a realist though and highly doubt it will be 90. but good luck to all and look forward to SAC 8 year moaning about everyone else not deserving it bar them.DT_Xtremez_14:

where did you find this I looked on manning @ 0025 14/9/10 still says 90 and sitting 27 sept - 12 oct.

Is it published else where. as manning is still advertising stuff that closed on 10/9/10. so I question it's reliability and not yours DT_Xtremez_19:
