Always worth visiting the Bridge at Topsham, SE of Exeter. No lager unless they've got an old can in the fridge somewhere, three or four barrels of real ale behind the bar and a donation to charity if your mobile goes off.
Ruddy marvellous beer as well. Not sure about Flowers, but think there's a couple of places on the waterfront in Exeter that may have it, been a while since I was down there though...

Real Ale and Pies

I know it's the wrong end of the country but if anyone is ever up in Liverpool look up the fly in the loaf. Sells real ales but it's main speciality is a wide range of lagers and beers from Belgium Germany and the rest of Europe. Erdinger pauliner amongst the lagers served, over 30 different brews. Currently on the vertins.
