Just wondering if anyone is in the same situation as me ?

A applied to my local Sqn ( 2503 ) around the middle of Febuary this year and Im no further on. I have rang the recriuting SNCO and emailed countless times and I am still waiting.

Last time I rang I was told that recruiting places are only allocated to a Sqn when available and I should have heard by the end of April, so far nothing heard.

I dont want to be ring up all the time become a pain but to be honest, coms from them could be alot better.

Has there been a new recruiting ban implemented ?

You want to show you're interested, but not desperate!

Ring, check on the current situation, and if still "no info" ask specifically when you should check back. Note the date he says - ring or email then, and start by saying "Hi, it's sixty-three here - on xx May, you said..." - organisation and persistence.

At present auxiliary sqns can only recruit to a set quota. If the sqn is fully manned then it will be a one out, one in situation. Just stay in touch with sqn to let them know you are still interested but not every week. Once a month is about enough although at the moment they are probably busy gearing up for a large parade.

Sixty-Three, unfortunatly if you look round this site you will see that everyone in a blue suit, part or full time, is in the same boat. Very little places available in the Auggies and pretty much no recruiting in the regulars. Partly because of the SDR and partly because of crazy recruitment drives last year.

Sit tight and I am sure something will open up soon enough, it will be worth the wait.

Now if you will excuse me I need to go bull my shoes for a big parade.
