As long as they are suitable for running outside you should be fine.

Another thing on the subject of trainers...

...During basic training; do you need a pair of both, indoor and outdoor trainers, or will one pair suffice?

Any colour will be fine, and 1 pair of trainers will also be fine, as youll be expected to clean the buggers after each pt session if they get dirty :)

You do get issued pt trainers aswell so you may wish to use those for indoor/outdoor pt anyway. :D

I have some lovely fuscia pink ones with illuminous yellow logo. :) I was thinking of going the whole hog and getting a Mr Blobby outfit to match....

Seriously though, big recommendation buy Asics or New Balance running trainers. Don't buy adidas or any crap like that as they are terrible for running.

Also my mate said you're best taking 2 pairs
