HI all,

As the title would suggest, I am after a definative recent guide to all the allowables. I know about the 35 days term and 20 days resettlement (I may have thhis the wrong way around) but are there any more days to cash in.
I have done 22+ and possibly need to get out in a hurry.
Already spoken to the management and they wouldnt oppose an early, early termination, but just trying to get a total number of days to cash in.

Cheers,

JD

They actually credit you 38 days resettlement, the extra 3 days is for the career transition workshop. Added with the 20 days terminal (Mon-Fri) and whatever % of leave you are entitled to from this year’s allowance, that’s it.

At your length of service, you get £534 Individual Resettlement Training Costs (IRTC) to spend on courses along with your annual Standard Learning Credits (SLC - 80% of course costs up to a maximum of £175 a year) and your Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC - 80% of course costs to a maximum of £2000 up to 3 times in total, including after you leave the service). It's now possible to combine your IRTC with either your SLC or ELC.
You also have 7 travel warrants to go on courses. Some service run courses have an extra warrant in addition to your entitlement and the time doesn't come off your time entitlement.
As it's considered duty, Betty Windsor will pay for your course accommodation costs (some units Travel Cells pay the B&B element upfront, some don't so you'll have to claim it back). On courses, you're also entitled to claim Subsistence Allowance along with Incidental Expenses. :pDT_Xtremez_30:
To get the resettlement ball rolling you'll have to fill out some paperwork and attend the 3 day Career Transition Workshop (CTW). On the CTW you'll also meet your career advisor/consultant from the nearest Regional Resettlement Centre who'll be the one to OK your attendance at some of the external training courses or civilian work attachments. The Resettlement Clerk in the Early Learning Centre (Education Centre is the one to ask.)

Great, thanks,

Odie, due to nature of the termination I will walk straight into a nice fitting suit straight away (the earlier the better) so no chance to do any courses. I just have to get my ELC's squared away for a Uni course before leaving.

cheers
