Hi All
I was looking into joining the RAF Reserves (at 46 I felt I need something a new challenge in my life) but even though I served in the RAF from 1979-1990 because I haven't lived in the UK for the last 5 years I am ineligible:pDT_Xtremez_35:.

Does anyone know if this can be relaxed for ex service members or is that it, application finished ....

Any help appreciated

I can help........It can't.

Used to be that good conduct certificates provided by the consulates of the places you once lived for the time you were there were acceptable, and even the DVA would accept that as well, but in times like these, you and I are broken biscuits I am afraid.

Being an ex doesn't help either after you have been out for 5 years.
