Would be nice to bang out next year on my 22 with a year of higher band. Wonder if that would make any difference to my pension? Here's hoping eh.

Its will only effect your pension if you are on pension 05, if your on pension 75 all ranks regardless of payband get the same pension. Ie General Duties Corporal will get the same pension as a highly trained, high paid techie!! always makes me laugh....

High payband SNCO after 22:

Immediate Pension 10303 Terminal Grant 30909

Low payband:

Immediate Pension 10303 Terminal Grant 30909


Looks pretty similar to me NtS........


AFPS 75 was made up from a representative pay level from across the old 9 paybands; therefore, no matter what you earn you get the same as all others at your rank.

O well.. As it is looking ever likely we int getting it it makes no difference either way. Roll on 12 months time.

Decision in September, put back to October, put back to January, put

back to February, now it's March still no answer.

Is this Thread still going???? give it up guys and gals, I know its move from 2 star to the people at number 10 / 11

This isnt going to happen even tho we scored more points than the helpful admin types, I dont know if there are any legality problems with them not issuing the pay increase? how can they say "you scored enough points but NO"???

Its annoying but what we didnt have we wont miss.......

(2 years and counting) as I walk out the gate I will turn around and give one final salute........The only thing I'll miss are the friends

Your're right, this has been going on what, 18 months now? We won't miss what we didn't have, would still be nice to get it though. It is just sad that it is obvious now that we did score what we needed, otherwise there would of been a NO, and not all this 'put back untill next month', atleast we know we are good enough.

Im sorry but the "at least we know we are good enough" isin't good enough, we either are or we aint??? I dont see no middle ground in this argument, for someone to say "you got the points and SHOULD be on the higher pay band but we cant because the money isn't there to pay you" isnt a good enough reason ( I know they will use it), I might have to have a word with my legal team...lol, joking apart Im very sure they will have to make sure they have got all the legal avenues covered before they say NO....because a few people with a bit of cash and a good legal team could stir up a bit of trouble....

What?! within minutes of a fake announcement regarding upbanding there was a poll on here as to whether it was deserved or not, along with comments such as 'Ive just been sick in my mouth'!

Personally i'm off whatever happens, the future is gonna be pretty grim I tell ya!
