Thanks for the replys. I agree with the, if they can't complete their TATS then they shouldn't get advanced (not promoted). This is not the case from SAC to CPL, I was wondering if there is anything hidden in the bowels of the AP's/JSP's on this.
Go to the Manning web site and there is a list of requirements for all trades. I can't say what the AP is but it states what is required for that trade, the criteria for entry to that trade and the conditions/courses to get promoted in that trade. If you need the AP number then PM me mate.

On another note when I was at tossford on my Cpl further trg they told us that TAT A had to be done asap and depending on trade, TAT B had to be completed by 12 months of passing out of phase 2 trg.

I think everyone would agree that getting promoted to SAC means that you have to attain the required level of compentency in that trade. I know this is a thorny subject but if a service person can't show the required competency required for any reason then they should not be promoted. It's not about the money but the effectivness and safety of that induvidual and the work team in the whole.

Absolutely...however, being preggers from sac to cpl is not a bar to promotion, I was wondering if the discrimination card can be pulled for advancement from LAC to SAC? bottom line is the girl can't complete her tats due to her condition...do we disregard and advance her regardless (in this tree huggy fluffy Air Force)?

Getting promoted to Cpl is a bit different mate. When we promote people to NCO it is because s/he has demonstrated the attributes of an NCO and as long as all trade related courses are completed to make a person elligible for promotion.
If your LAC can't complete her TAT's because she is preggers then she has not demonstrated that she can complete tasks in a competent and safe manner. You can always try to play the discimination card but I'm sure someone way above my rank will say its about safety.
The best person to speak to would be the chiefclk as they will have all the most up to date gen on this.
