Management training at RAF Broadmoor

At a certain FJ OCU in the north there has been some flying days lost recently to the weather. To make up this ‘lost?’ time, the Sqn management have come up with the top trumps idea of 3 working weekends on the trot. Notwithstanding the ‘couldn’t give a fcuk’ attitude to the Sqn troops morale etc, it will also fcuk about a lot of other sections on the camp. Can the management guarantee the weather for the coming weeks? No, of course not. A number of days lost to weather annually is plumbed into the yearly plan, drawn from years of stats etc, so why this knee jerk response from the RAF Broadmoor trained idiots? There’s been a big change in the management on this Sqn and it would seem that their aim is simply to p1ss people off which they are doing most effectively. Is it a ploy to decimate numbers without even trying? Are there many other places where management appear to have undergone training at a lunatic asylum?:pDT_Xtremez_40:

Yes, I have heard that management is particularly misguided and short sighted at RAF (insert your station of choice here) :pDT_Xtremez_34:

Over the last two weeks, have you all been at work each day, or did the same management realise that there wasnt a cat in hell's chance of flying and stand you all down for a week?

If you have been expected to turn in every day and then twiddle your thumbs for 8-9 hours then I sympathise. If you were told at the outset to "not bother" for the week, then I can sort of see the management point of view.

There has been a short stand-down period, but only due to the fact that most of the Sqn's aircraft are serviceable. The only exception being jets that required runs, or the inevitable inability items. Full day programmes on fridays are going to be hellish.

Seems that some things never change on that particular OCU. Have they never heard of human factors? Or even had a thought that people might start working to rule after such stupid demands are made?

Such thought mechanisms are routinely removed at Cranditz!

Now that has to be something of a rarity!:pDT_Xtremez_30:

Nice to see that the (mis)management have their finger still firmly on the pulse of the troops

Yes,
I undertook all of my training at a lunatic asylum and i believe psycho fluffy may well have done aswell.

Tut, tut Freudian Slip.

It was called a Theraputic Community in my day though it had been called a lunatic asylum as few decades earlier so maybe that is when you trained there.

And you have to remember we are the elite, God's special trees hiding in the forest.
