Apologies if I got my facts wrong, I only got it secondhand. However I do know that working for the MRO I do, we recieved a pack for a non ETOPS FGS a/c marked as such. My crew chief wasn't a happy bunny on that. Maintenance also includes policy and documentation in my understanding, am I incorrect on that statement? Oh, I have seen other operator tech services making similar mistakes.
KC your PM has been answered, apology was not necessary but thanks anyway.

Their outsourced line maintenance was slack as fook. Globespan had to pick up a bill for a lower NLG cylinder due to the line station continuing to fix a leaking oleo assembly just by pumping it up with nitrogen! Nobody had ever seen the damage caused before due by the lack of internal lubrication.

The CAA took away their ETOPS rating for the 767's because of similar laspes in ETOPS maintenance. Only UK operator to have it revoked..

After recently experiencing their landings on the way to the Falklands and back again, this doesn't surprise me at all.

Nothing to do with maintenance, the way that flight crew alight an aircraft is it? I flew from BFG into Luton 20 years ago on a Britainia 737.. We were warned by the cabin crew that the captain would be touching down firmly.. It was more like a controlled crash (bounce included) and close to requiring a heavy landing check IMHO!:raf:
