Does it matter

It highlighted what a good job the Aero Med teams do
Last week they were talking about an RAF Apache

So shall we call it a draw?

According to the title of this report, the RAF is the Army
BBC Report

Depends on how you read it - i read the title as if it was saying medical care for the army and not implying it was carried out by the army (if that makes sense:S)

Either way a vital and essential job - regardless of the service!

It matters only to us that we are airmen or sailors or soldiers or gunners or troopers or whatever. We all lump ourselves as servicemen or ex servicemen before the pedants amongst us start and hate it when we are called soldiers.

Try to look at it this way at least if they think you are a soldier they are recognising the fact that you are serving for them, they aren't aware of the differences, everyone in uniform is a soldier to them, and there are worse things they could call us.

You should see what the journos have made of the SAR Force in the past... from confusing RAF Sea Kings with RN ones, Rescue choppers supposedly flying out of ISK (they're actually based at Lossie), etc, etc and even a few years back a Nimrod winching the crew of a fishing boat to safety!! Now that I would have paid good money to see :pDT_Xtremez_19:
