Not really much going in in the F1 news at the minute.

Sutil tells us that Valencia is boring....linky......and there was I wondering where 2 hours of my life vanished last year. Must have been the Valencia race.

When will Bernie get the message? The fans all said it was rubbish, the drivers agreed and everyone has been saying it in the run up this year. About the only thing to spice is up is the return of the cheating boxhead!

Anyone reckon a red car will be blocking the last corner in the remaining few minutes of Q3?:pDT_Xtremez_30:

Anyone watch the NASCAR at Watkins Glen today? I'm well impressed with the fact that Jeff Gordon got out of his car and walked off under his own steam after a huge barrier smash; its from around 30 seconds in. I bet Hornish was dizzy!

I'm actually quite impressed with NASCAR. I thought it would be really boring. Admittedly not all the races are outstanding, but the racing is much closer than lots of other forms of motorsport and the crashes are fantastic!

The Yank commentary team have a car stripped down; they describe and show you during a race whatever issues are going on with someones car.

Also NASCAR as a regulatory body seem to be well respected and from what I have seen this year have made some good timely decisions. Perhaps the FIA could learn a thing or two from them?

Indy Car on the other hand is boring. Even the legendary Indy Brickyard race:pDT_Xtremez_42:

Round and round and round and round and round....................! :pDT_Xtremez_42:
Even the racetracks and street circuits arent that great....well, a bit better than the round and rounds.

Its amazing how 2 series of racing can be so different on ovals.

Most of what I've seen of the so called street circuits just end up as two walls of concrete.................. I'm afraid it don't do a lot for me.

Its either that or airfiled tracks that are as wide as you like with a thin racing line.

Nah, I tried Indy but I think I wont bother any more. NASCAR will do for me, you should give it a try.......

Traditional fighter airfields have taxiways that are 49' wide, bomber airfields the taxiways were 75' wide.

Most british motorsports tracks are ex-Raf airfields. How wide would you like them?

Don't be pedantic old man!

The Indy car is about 5 foot wide. The yank stylee airfield track looks very wide. Couldn't tell you if it was bomber, fighter, traditional or otherwise.

You an airfield spotter?:pDT_Xtremez_35:
