Ferrari will reportedly announce over the Monza weekend that Alonso will be joining Ferrari next season.
This looks a bit more truthful.
Linky

So who is leaving Ferrari early then? Both Kimi and Felipe have contracts for 2010.
My money is on Kimi leaving, after this season and last season he has probably had enough!

You can bet your last penny that Alonso will not go there as no2. He never has been, and never will be. How will Massa take that?

I can just see Alonso throwing his teddy out the pram, just like he did at McLaren. Would be interesting to see Ferrari's dirty washing in public.

In fairness to Alonso though (in my opinion) he is the most complete driver on the grid.

I'm sure you'll all shout me down now and mention prams, dummies, teddies and cots. :pDT_Xtremez_42:

Ferrari may just be having a clearout. I read today that they're after Seb Vettel as well.

No mate, I always said Alonso was the best on the grid, but I had already nailed my colours to the Kimi mast years before Alonso showed potential.

There is only one driver on the grid at the minute who truly beat Schuey, Alonso. Yes Kimi beat him a few times, but Alonso stopped the Schuey championship run.

I agree with MrM on this one (only just though).

Fair shout mate, only a polite dig in jest. It will be interesting to see Fernando in a decent car again, that's if Ferrari can get back on top.

I know mate, no offense taken.:pDT_Xtremez_30:The written word does not always convey the feeling behind the words.

I'm not holding my breath for the rest of this season.
Next season should be interesting though. Now everyone has got used to the regs and how the cars have reacted to the new aeros and how it affects their slicks, next season should be potentially even closer. Expect Ferrari, BMW, Renault and McLaren to be back up the front along with Red Bull, Brawn, Toyota (if they stay) and Williams.
