As long as you have revised for it, the interview will be fine!
Just remember to get a haircut and shine your shoes etc before you go.

Even if your nervous they just want to see confidence and lots of effort.

Nerves get me every time too :) im waiting for my final interview.

If all else fails, employ the old "imagine the interviewer on the bog" scenario. works every time.

good luck!

Don't worry yourself mate, just try to relax as best you can, if you don't know the answer to a question, just be honest and say so. Work out what things you want to talk about when they ask about your hobbies, home life, etc, as they spend a fair bit of time on stuff like that and obviously they want to hear that you're not a mong who just sits around playing Xbox or whatever. Most important though just be yourself, nobody wants to sit and talk to a robot for half an hour so don't be scared to show some personality.
They'll probably sit you down for a chat before the interview proper as well, just to get you at ease and let you prepare a bit for the type of questions they'll be asking.
Good luck!

Hi Cooper. At the grand age of 25 I've done a fair few interviews in my time (and have interviewed a few people too). Here's some generic advice:

  • Be very smart but make sure you're reasonably comfortable too or it'll just make you more nervous, fidgety and edgy.
  • Make sure you make eye contact with your interviewer. Look them in the face when you're talking to them rather than down at your hands or up at the ceiling. It projects confidence and sincerity. Don't stare or make yourself look mad though!
  • Don't fidget with your hands - it distracts you and makes you look nervous and unsure of yourself.
  • Take a couple of seconds and a deep breath before you launch into answering a more complicated question. Obviously the easy ones you should be able to rattle off (name, DoB, etc) but when you're asked your opinion or to explain something then use the extra couple of seconds to think about what you're going to say.
  • Smile every so often (where appropriate of course)! It puts both you and the interviewer at ease and starts building a rapport between you.
  • Unless you talk really slowly naturally try to concentrate on talking more slowly for the first few minutes. Your rate of speech naturally increases under stress so by doing this you'll actually be speaking at a normal pace and will come across as more confident and collected. After a few minutes you'll have relaxed into it anyway.
Most importantly, make sure you relax - they aren't there to trick you or make you look/feel stupid. You're there to sell yourself and they're there to find out if you're what they're looking for. Simples!

Hope that helps a bit mate. Best of luck!!!
