TG4 Pay issues

I've started a new thread, because the issue is no longer about Q-Ops

If you've read the other thread, then you'll be aware of the fact that many TG4 pers (ex11 and ab initio tg4) have had their move to the high pay band messed up this last week... me included.

I called my PSF and they weren't very helpful, but in all honesty I don't hold it against them. It was one of the SACs in there and she really did try her best but in the end wasn't all that knowledgeable about the whole thing, so I won't slate her.

Eventually my Sgt took a list of everyone with pay issues from our section, and went to speak to the Sgt in PSF and you know what response he got?

"Yeah, well everyone's pay will be messed up for a while, just try not to bug us about it for the next few months"

THE NEXT FEW MONTHS!!! Does anyone else find this unacceptable?

I appreciate I'll be moving to higher pay, and should be grateful for that, but regardless of the whole TG4 issue, PSF telling you up front that your pay will be messed up "for a few months" is out of order, if they know what's going wrong, then fix it!

If it's a problem at JPAC then surely it would be easier for them to have the unit HR call them, than every single individual who's affected.

Ask yourself these questions.

Are you financially disadvantaged? NO

Have you just been promoted? YES

Does the rest of the RAF get their payrise the second they get promoted? VERY RARELY

Raise a SR with JPAC and see what they come up with. They have to give an answer, and then you'll have a definitive answer.

I see where you're coming from about the comments above, and I truly do humble myself to the fact that "the powers that be" have given me a pay rise. I think I'm just a bit peeved that they've known about this for months and months and still they can't sort it out, even when they know it's coming.

I'm saying no more on the matter now anyway, it will all get sorted out in the end.

As far as i knew, the high payband jump does not happen to the end of the month and then it gets back dated to the 1st of april? well thats what admin said :p

for those guys that havent been messed up, they are showing as having a 10% pay rise but for those that have been affected they have only been given the 2.8% like the rest of us. This info can be found under my info / pay (if my memorys right) on JPA

Ive been trying to sort out some of my guys who havent been put on to the high payband, after speaking to Chf Clk it turns out their Q-Ops expired 2 Feb - however the CN-4000 appeared in their JPA competencies 20Feb and this seems to have been ignored.

hopefully itll get sorted and theyll get a nice bit of back pay, but considering I gave all the relevant proof that these guys had completed the CN4000, TATS and NVQ, as was required, to our psf months ago its a tad annoying ..... wonder where that paperworks ended up then?

I dont know of anybody in the RAF who's pay is reflected properly on JPA from the day they have been promoted - why should TG4 SACs be any different?? If I were in your shoes, I'd wait until the next payrun (about 17 Apr?) to see what they come up with - you are not due to be paid at the new rate until the end of the month.

Before anybody gets too excited, the backpay will only be backdated to 01 Apr, not when they achieved Q-OPS.

moaning monaing moaning

moaning monaing moaning

stop moaning about it, the longer its messed up, the more back pay you will get!!

i wouldnt worry about it unless you bought something on finance relying on this to happen on the 1st april, then you are plain stupid.

Spoke to JPA and PSF today, pay rise is definately level for level and about 80% of our lads have got it, if not, get down to your Admin and see if they can sort it.

I submitted an SR on JPA and pestered them daily, eventually (today) I've had confirmation off them that I should be on level 9 and that they've amended my salary accordingly. RESULT!!

All hunky dory this end.

My advice now is just wait out, we're not losing out, just having to wait a little longer for more.

Also put in SR and this is the response I received

"Good Afternoon, from looking into your account, i can advise that your Annual Salary shows as £28,372.08 and Level 9 higher band.

This is showing in April's pay slip for you. There is a known issue with Service Personnel not being able to see the details as off yet. You should be able to view the correct information on JPA by the end off this week."

Will wait and see if it is correct.

Have read every ones issue's regarding this......the pay will def come in and every old 11's will come up to high pay.....within the competency it should read this

" Q|Q-CN1267-Attended BTT cn 1267|RAF|"

This reflects your ICT TECH status and gets you onto high pay, if it states any different or is not present then speak to Chf Clk as JPAC needs to get this sorted or any back pay you get will be heavily taxed for this....

This Q is obviously for the tg11 persons, but is there another Q alongside it which is being used for tg4 persons. I have spoken to PSF this week and have been informed of jpa not updating correctly for service personnel. I have also confirmed that a number of ex-tg11 personnel have received there level for level pay increase even though JPA is not showing it when they logon. PSF said that on the 17th April there will be another payrun and all issues should be resolved by then, although this might not show on your actual JPA screen.

If your that worried, give them a ring, as some of the lads on my flight have had their pay fluctuation on JPA all month, some losing 2-3 levels etc..

It's only getting peoples backs up because people don't listen to what is being told to them... again and again i have told people that YES it is Level for Level as per the signal and the phone call i made to the trade sponser and time and time again i hear the same rumours circulating

The same can be said of the whole saga now with the pay.. people get told to wait til the second payrun, that jpa is currently incorrectly showing their salary still on the lower payband and yet again people bitch and moan until its put under their nose with PSF as i have seen this afternoon.

If you have issues with it, take it up with the people that can help. Don't sit there and winge about it. It aint like your losing anymore money isit.. You haven't even received this months pay yet either!!

iSupport raised with JPAC, some of our lads are still without the pay increase.

FYI if you have not had the pay increase added to JPA by the end of today, you will not receive any backpay until the end of June, as the `backdated pay` payrun for May goes through tomorrow 1st May.

Guess it didn't go through as smoothly as some people on here were expecting!
