Aaaagghhh, missed it again. Seems that everytime I choose not to go somewhere I miss porn conventions and Swedsh Netball teams, I just can't believe how unlucky I've been over the past 29 years :S.

Back on subject-no one can buy spirits as a carryout now, not even SNCO's or Orificers !! CBBFI does not drink and does not like anyone else to either, not even us "Civvy w*nkers"

It's a few years since I was there as a Cpl. but I don't remember any problems with spirits, as long as you were reasonably discreet.
Morgan's spicy anyone?
I also seem to remember the civvie helo bar (can't remember the name now), used to buy it's booze from Stanley and sold spirits to anyone. They did a very nice Highland Park actually.
Also Timmy's bar used to do an under the counter "punch" if you knew the right people.(Hem , hem)

Spirits were banned when I was there in 89,but we often bought stuff back from stanley & were quite regulars in the Civvie bar,Turners,over from the main enterance to the Death Star.

Eric's changed several years ago and is now Brintel's-British International Helicopters. Still a great Bar and some of the old faces still there !
