To add to the above, we have just been iformed by the SQN WO that there will be no announcement before the 15th December. No other details are available so any rumours are just that!

Maybe it will be a nice Xmas prezzy for us all, or maybe it’s a case of waiting long enough to ensure that we are not included in the 2008/09 budget, therefore 2010 it is…who knows…

Anyway, just a thought…

Have heard on the streets that even if the decision was made this month then it wouldn't hit until 1st April 2010 anyway so if we have to wait another month then it won't hurt our pockets either way

Just as an after thought to this, I wonder how many JNCO/SNCO’s are waiting to hear the result of this before they put their PVR in if the review board does not go in our favour, that would be an interesting thread as an aside to this…

As an aside to that I wonder how many Cpl's that have just turned down promotion will kick themselves if Sgt's pick it up and they dont!!!!

The RAF feed me and provide adequate clothing for me so pay is just a bonus so i give it all to charity!! Would be nice to get the pay rise but the fact of a massive recession going on at the moment with the government bailing out all these banks doesnt bode well for any more money to be spent on the forces so im not holding my breath.

Totally agree, they have to do something though. Cpl’s are turning down promotion, Sgt’s are banging out left right and centre… I think if they get this wrong there could be a case of…last one out turn the light off… if fact s0d it, leave the bugger on…

How dare anyone else get paid the same as them when they obviously are the ONLY ones who go on Ops, work late, keep aircraft flying stay in nice hotels on rates on exercises. I don't want to necessarily p1ss off techies in general, just the ones who simply cannot help but bang their gums about how horrified they are at the prospect of being paid the same as so many non-technical trades!

I hope to see many more similar threads of this nature in the future - Stewards, Fire Fighters, PTIs, MTD SNCOs, come on down - THE PRICE IS RIGHT!!!

By all means reply to this, desperate techies - you'll simply fuel my (and many other goaters') eagerness to congratulate the Supply trade on what will be yet another common-sense decision by the AFPRB.

The rumblings on street corners are that we (Stackers) are not going to get it!!!!!, due to the fact that over 15% of the trade is not employed on TSW but what about the guys and gals doing POL sorry F&L??????? I do hope this is wrong but it sounds like an excuse a trade sponsor would come up with, even though he/she is a WO on the top pay band!!!!!!!! Grips my.........Grrrrrrrrrr

Your probable right but Im sure that our trade sponsor has a large input into what the team see's, its up to the trade sponsor to sell the trade on our behalf......Ive been through a few of these "Supply up to high pay band"causes only to be told "close but no cigar".........and yes I know he/she doesnt make the final decision but they must take some of the flack..... I do hope we do finally get whats over due.....! Its about time we got one of them techie Wallets/purses/large bags/security wagon...... If we do get it I'll be the first to offer Her a pint or two......(So Im not anti trade sponsor)

Knowing the trade sponsor as I do I know; believe me she has put everything into getting us to the top band. Last time I spoke to her she said we had done well, it's now up to the board and the points we score. If we don't get it then it's not through lack of effort. Everyone thinks they deserve more money and their particular job is more important than the next, but you can't expect the Trade Sponsor to take the flack if it doesn't happen. Lets just wait and see then hopefully we can all buy her a beer/wine.
