Help with BFPO postage please?!

Can you send letters/parcels to a BFPO address from North America?

Lame question I know but the BFPO website doesnt really mention anything about it.

If it was address something like..

This bit is slightly wrong as they are two seperate places but all ok else where.

You have to pay US postage to get it to BFPO address. Yanks would look at you silly if you tried to post it.

BFPO is a British thing, only option is if you are at Norfolk or the Embassy then yo can get it via BFPO

Either post it to your home unit to be forwarded on or straight to the BFPO sorting centre to be passed along.

From what I can gather the American system is a bit slower than our's. No direct experience, just what I heard!

but as I said, unless you are in Washington or Norfolk you will have to pay USA postage rates to the UK

I've done it before (When all your mail in Germany went BFPO to work) just make sure that the address has got United Kingdom in Big American friendly letters on it. I also put Via Mill Hill but I think thats moved now.
You have to pay whatever the yank going rate is... Oh and it takes an age...lol
