Officers investigated... and found an electronic sorting machine was diverting the post to a jungle training camp in Belize, Central America.

Hmmm, it's one computer cockup after another it looks like. JPA, aircraft problems, postee problems now! Where does it end? :pDT_Xtremez_09:

When I was in the Falklands earlier this year the head of the posty section, was pulling his hair out with the new sorting office at Northolt, with 1st class mail coming by ship and registered letters going to the wrong BFPO amongst many things it was even subject to a BFBS Reports Special where cards were posted from a number of BFPO's to Germany - as I recall teh Falklands card never arrived!

The concensus of thoughts was that it had a lot more to do with the 'contract staff' who were filling in for the servicemen out on ops.

It sounds more and more like DSDA and many other organisations these days were English is not always the first language of the hands on staff- just a thought!

No new news here. We were getting mail for troops in Helmand last year at our location in Eye-Rack and I have no reason to believe it was any better in previous years.

Yes I was sent 2 parcels that never arrived in KAF. However I do have to say the e-bluey system was fab out there I'd say 98% of the ones I was sent arrived within 24 hours.
