I would be interested in your opinion on the prospect of the RAF becoming amalgamated with the army and Navy. It seems we have come full circle since we were formed in 1918. Don't hold back your opinions will be used as part of a report.

In a few words Boogey:-

Tri-Service doesn't work when working with the Army. They talk a good game and bully the other services into a narrow visioned tunnel. They have the resources to absorb the Helicopter forces and CIS stuff into their infrastructure but by no way the BRAINS to use, maintain and administer them properly. They have an inordinate ability to not listen.

The Navy...We don't mix with them really. Only one or two personnel in Tri-Service establishments. Wouldn't be surprised though if they hate the Army interference as much as us.

Overall...I think we are safe for a few years yet while Army arrogance, interference and incompetence rolls on.

oh god not again. Read all the other threads on this annoying subject. if it did ever happen there would be zero percent of current RAF personel transfering across.

So we used to have boats and tanks, so fcuk it lets start that up again and amalgamate the navy and army into the RAF. Cant be that hard all you gotta do is drive a few boats into marked obstructions, dive subs into the bottom of the sea, we can get lost as good as the army, the plumbers can blow sh1t up and then rebuild stuff expand the reg to do their thang and there you go. That's a bit harsh MC. He could be a Troller but on the other hand it's his first post and he could merely be a newbie trying to integrate himself into the Community not realising that these subjects have been done to death. If so he should be encouraged as an active participant on the forums and not ignored.

He could also try easing himself into the Goat rather than going for it in such a way over an emotive subject...he could also impress me by utilising a little of his intelligence by doing some 'research' via our obviously well hidden search facility...

We stare at these posts week in week out and to a new comer like yourself Rugby Jock Lad MC may have come across as a little harsh but trust me he's not...I think the poster knows exactly what he doing...

With that in mind and because we have done this and similar before and there is similar on prune as well this thread can close until he tells us a bit more about himself...
