Madeleine Mum a suspect?

is it just me or cant the media make their minds up.

"hope for the best, prepare for the worst" thats what Churchill said.

Hope it is her, really dont think it is though.

Heres hoping they will let the damn story die and let people get on with their lives, either that or find something thats newsworthy (fat chance of that like)

I can understand what you are saying TNS but IMO I think that this IS a newsworthy development and I am led to believe it is Jerry and Kate McCann that are also keeping the story in the headlines not just the media.

I actually bought a paper today so i could see the pic and read the story. I think the little girl in picture has a striking resemblence to maddy. I Struggled not to cry actually. If the pic is her, i am glad she is alive and hope she is returned home very soon but on the other hand, she must be absolutely terrified. She hasnt seen her mum and dad in months, she is in a hot country where they probably dont speak very good english. Its hard to not want to cry when you think of that poor girl going through that.

I'd find it a little strange, with all the publicity and her picture everywhere, that someone would take a stroll with her and risk her saying something, I doubt very much it's her, though I do still hope she is alive but above all okay

But would a terrified 4 year old really say something?

It would be a huge risk to take. her face is everywhere, holiday makers and locals all hoping to be the one to spot her. A lot of kids that age may have some resemblance to her. Any possibility should be followed up, as it is also a fact that the easiest way to hide is to do so in plain sight, we tend to notice those who act suspicious or try to hide, yet we are less likely to notice someone in full view.
