In the process of being posted so checked out the abatement of Home to Duty (Private) when claiming Disturbance Allowance/Legal Fees, as you do at these times.

Quite surprised to find no mention of it anywhere in JSP 752, why, because when posted last time I had my RILOR (now HTD Private) capped at 19 miles, because I claimed Disturbance Allowance. Now if this lack of capping came in last April, with JPA, I guess I may be owed a pretty penny, however if it came in more recently I'm still due due about 50p a day.

Any info appreciated, cheers....

Need to check with my allowances guru busby. Prior to JPA, I know you could chose to claim either Refund of Legal Fees or HTD; not sure now without checking. There is a 9 mile personal contribution on the mileage from a private house and a maximum of 50 miles (without approval). Get back to you later unless somebody (TBJ!) has a copy of JSP752 at home!!

Oy!! I have not burned JSP 752 onto a CD-ROM to take home with me! Good idea, though. :pDT_Xtremez_35:

I don't think HDT is abated if you claim RLF any longer, any more than you are restricted to the lesser mileage if you move house mid-assignment as we once were. I stand by to be corrected.

Having read my copy that I have at home (yes sad I know but found it on the tinternet JSP 752) You are correct there is no mention of an abated HTD due to claiming DA/RLE. Not being an allowances guru I can only assume that this came in Apr last year.

You can now claim the lot! RLF, DA & HTD not bad eh? It gets better, wef 1 Apr 06, you would have been entitled to the unrestricted HTD mileage; this means that you would still pay the 9 mile Personal Contribution, but you're not restricted to a distance of 19 miles!

Get Claiming!

Feck me this place is like the Masons!! Get anything sorted. How about this one then, can you claim back lunch for every night shift you do? This is for singlies based on the fact that they can't have lunch as they have to have 8 hours sleep following a night duty.

Do they get a duty supper? If so they are getting their 3 meals a day. If not then I believe they will be entitled to a missed meal payment.

TBJ is correct - entitled to 3 meals a day for the Daily Food Charge. If these meals are not available, then I believe there is a case for making a claim. And it's nowt like the Masons.
