What amazed me most of all was the rapid action taken by Social Services!. There have been cases in the past where they acted to little and to late.

A comment made by the Grandmother when being interviewed by the police:
"I couldn't see any harm in toughening them up, i'd have done the same with my children" and she called it character building.
Service in the armed forces is character building, not beating up your sibling.

I was very upset reading this but im pleased to say even if the justice system didnt work properly, social services have done it right. The children have been taken from her and given to their father. This is what the judge said about custody of the children.

The mothers main punishment was that she had permanently lost custody of her children and would never get them back.

She looks like the kind of person who would go out and get pregnant by the next block she meets so hopefully social services will keep on her record as a danger to children, and take that baby off her straight away!!!

Rusty coat hanger, cillit bang and no pain relief!

The entire story was shocking and they all deserve to be banned for life from having any contact with kids at all!!!
It ripped me apart to read the full story - how they got away with a non-custodial sentance is beyond me!! The Judge was locking up for that!!!

Even more annoying is that they didnt go to prison but that very same day a bloke got sent down for 4 months for training dogs to fight! 4 months for making a couple of dogs fight but let off for making children do the same?! Wheres the fricking justice in that!!!!

They were given non-custodial sentences because they were not deemed a risk to the general public, & the fact of all pleading guilty would have been taken into account on pre-sentence reports.

Im not agreeing with the verdict but this is the basic fact.

Ah but the dogs were trained to rip each others throats out.
The kids were being encouraged to slap each other a bit.

I'm not saying either one is right, but have some perspective here.
Training dogs to fight each other to the death in a pit is not the same as two toddlers being goaded into smacking each other.

As expected, the Attorney General, Lord Goldsmith is considering whether the sentencing should be reviewed.

Well lets hope he makes it a worthy sentence for such a sick crime.

There should be four jail terms set aside; 10, 8, 6 and 4 years. The women should be put into a cage with some planks and iron bars and forced to fight over the jail time, with the last one standing getting 4 years, the first casualty getting 10 etc.

Of course, there needs to be a large crowd baying for their blood while they do it, calling them names if they don't fight back.

The Attorney General cannot actually give a sentence, at the end of the day he is only a QC and the Governments legal advisor. Any sucessful review in the initial sentence would be refered back to a Judge, and I would imagine not the original trial Judge!.

Well lets hope whoever gets it, does it properly this time.
