72 Squadron 1989-2001 lapel pin

Now I came across this on eBay this morning. Nothing odd looking about it until I contacted the seller. I asked what was the back stamp on the reverse of the pin, I was informed the backstamp has been removed!.

Very suspect to have the backstamps removed. Not Offically been made then!. Are proceeds going to charity??

You them quite alot on ebay. Same sort of design with the RUC and UDR ones they are trying to sell.

Wouldn't know, however last 72 Sqn Wessex I saw that looked that bent was the one that crashed on the Golf Course at Bishops Court back in 1989/90.

It appears the individuals who produced them also produced another unauthorised lapel pin for which the current squadron is taking action!.
