I have noticed that there are not many flightcrew posters on here as I can see.

Being groundstaff that mainly post, are the pilots welcome ?

Perhaps I should execute a go around and shoot an approach for my alternate.

I took plenty of fuel for bad weather. LOL

Being only humble rigger GROUNDCREW DT_Xtremez_30: and never ever being called staff (PTI's only)DT_Xtremez_25: I have no idea whether our aircrew bretheren post on the goat. What with the nome de plumes and all it's hard to say. Us workers outnumber the aircrew by a margin so the ratio of posts would naturally favour groundcrew and other support staff. Are pilots welcome YES and YES again to my limited understanding the E-goat community is open to all without fear or favour. Just remember without the man/woman with a spanner in their hand all aircrew would march to war like the rest.

It must be great Vim, to pole around the sky like you guys.

We use FAF. That's final approach fix, where you have to be gear down, full dirty and in the groove, fully established in the ILS in other words.

Phix, I guess that must be the RAF equivalent.

Surely you have heard of coffin corner. Where high speed and low speed buffet meet. A few Kts here or there and you can drop a wing. Check with your chief pilot. I'm sure he will give you a bollocking for not remembering that. Varies with gross weight. Remember, you will burst the 1.25g buffet margin in a standard 25 deg co-ordinated turn. We always try to have 1.5 g to buffet onset but in the ideal world it would be 3g.

We don't wear flying suits silly. I would not like to go to work in a one piece green ensemble.

No. Our uniform is quite acceptale for the job, in and out of the flightdeck.
